     Titanium (Ti) is a chemical element that is strong, light weight and corrosion resistant. These properties make titanium an ideal material for knife making. Titanium comes in several different grades. The highest grades are used for making knife blades.
     Titanium is extracted from a particular black ore or sand found in many regions around the world. Although titanium has superior knife making qualities, it can be harder to work with and machine than traditional steels. Modern technologies are solving these problems and allowing titanium to become a leading material in the knife making industry.
